New 2016 Fit owner, and I'm in love with my car!
Hi, all. I just purchased my 2016 Fit LX a week ago, and I'm in love with my car. I'm not thrilled with my color choice, alabaster silver, so I'm looking for ways to make it stand out. I just ordered door visors, splash guards, and door guards that I can't wait to install when they arrive. Also, I'm thinking of adding a pinstripe. I just can't stand it being so plain. I've been looking all over for Honda emblems in a different color, such as green, but all I see are red. Does anyone know where I can find them in other colors? Thanks!
I did love my 2016 fit until today
Well I have a 2016 fit it has nice stuff with the camera and everything. I have had it a year and the splash guard must be made out of gold. Cause I went today since I thought that since I had the bumper to bumper coverage that a broken splash guard would be covered. Then since I did not have an appointment. Which since they were running a special on oil changes today. I waited two hours to be told that it would take $600 to fix. I told the person that I would figure out how to fix it and then that they would never see me again in the dealership. Going to either figure out how to fix it myself or get a good mechanic. I just had the oil change done and driving it over 10,000 miles in two years I did not have a problem until now.
Yeah, I hate to say it...but the vehicle I owned before my current Fit was a color I did NOT enjoy. Didn't like it the day I drove it off the lot. Hoped it would grow on me.
Never did really get to like it.
On one hand? If the car is mechanically sound, comfortable, nice and works? I suppose one would say color shouldn't matter. BUT...
It's the first thing you see as you approach your vehicle. It's UNDENIABLE.
It really is a bummer if you don't like how your vehicle looks.
Not that I was stretching the boundaries too much. But I went "Back To Black" when I purchased my new Fit.
I'm convinced liking the color of your vehicle is actually pretty important. I don't think it's coincidence that I've had two vehicles in my life where I feel I compromised on color, hoping I'd grow to like it, and those two vehicles are among my least favorite I ever owned.
That being said?
Silver isn't so bad is it?
I've never owned a Silver vehicle but I think they can look good.
So here's hoping you stay in love with your vehicle.

It was somewhat the same for me when I got my 15. I really wanted to blue but at the time I was looking (late 15/early 16) I could not find a blue EX with a manual anywhere close to me. Found one in silver a few hours away and went with that. I was a bit eh on the idea as I had been driving a silver Civic since 01 (bought new) and was do I really want another silver car? In the end it's been fine as it's a more neutral color and that suits me better as I'm not a flashy look at me person anyways. To me another advantage of silver is it won't show every little scratch and ding like a darker color.
