New Here: Looking to upgrade a few things.

Hello Everyone.

I recently purchased a 2010 Fit Sport 5AT used and have so far enjoyed the car, especially the MPG for my long commutes. With that said I would like to improve a few things and was hoping for your advice in doing so. I am by no means looking to make this car fast (if i want to go fast, I take out my 500whp Civic Si), but I would like to make this car handle better. I feel like the stock ride is not that comfortable and that the car could handle better (not sure if its car or the 60k old stock suspension).

I have been debating on maybe getting slightly wider wheels and better tires and possibly doing some suspension work to make it handle and ride better (i don't want a race car, I want it comfortable but still confidence inspiring if that makes sense). I would love to hear everyones opinions on what suspension and wheel and tire mods are recommended.

Wider tires and rims is where i would start along with the rear sway bar, I would get some progressive type springs after that. I was happy with my H&R springs they give a nice drop and it did handle better and was to ruff of a ride.

After that is up to you how from you want to go, Camber bolts, front sway bar, coilovers or air bags, koni Struts (if they still make them) braces (IE 2 point, 4 point front strut). This car can be come a great Go-Kart .

If you need more help I'm sure we can point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the feedback, yeah I was thinking about getting some 16x7 wheels and maybe like a 205/45/16 tire. And am now debating on a sway bar, not sure if i wish to lower it or not yet, some rough driveways around here.

Yeah its sounding more and more like I will be upping my tire size once my current tires are worn out (no sense in doing it sooner). And i think 16x7 will be the way to go as far as wheel size and width, i really like the look of the rota slipstreams (knock offs i know, i just can't justify super expensive wheels for the fit) i think in a nice white color or a dark gold would look good with my black fit.

Here is what the fit looked like the day I got it.

And today I did the first "mod" haha, i found a PasswordJDM oil cap i had in the garage that i had once used on my Civic si and put it on the Fit.

Anyone have pics of a black fit with white or gold or bronze slip streams by chance?
