I hope so. In related news, GM, the car who killed the electric car, may be bringing it back. They'll make a hybrid, but a different type of hybrid. It's always electric, can plug in to charge. It has a gasoline engine, but only as a an electricity generator. This was announced lately. If so, i'll gain respect for GM, but it'll be hard cuz they also make the hummer.

Tesla WhiteStar Sedan

Has anyone seen any leaked photo's or specs of the Whitestar high performance electric sedan Tesla is coming out with for 2009? There are a few speculative articals floating around but they seem to be keeping it under wraps pretty well.

That is the Tesla Roadster, there is some new "whitestar" mass production electric sedan they are working. It is supposed to be affordable and practical than the roadster.

As docjim2 says, electric motors in Fit would solve all problems. Electric motors have never been the problem, even in the early 1900s. The problem has been storing the electrical power for mobile applications. I'm hoping MITs educated guess last year comes true...that Nano technology will help boost electrical energy storage in batteries enough to make Electrical Vehicles(EV) practical. Better yet will be Nano tech enhanced Ultracapacitor powered EVs...Now there would be a vehicle to drive....specially in my state where equivalent electrical energy is produced with only 4% of the pollution of a gasoline engine. & tapping that energy with an electric motor that is 4 times more efficient than a gasoline engine...well, I see the kitty licking the milk off its whiskers right now.

lol, maybe not. With nano-technology we could just start synthisizing fuel and scrub carbon out of the atmosphere :D

Anyway, way off-topic and maybe you can post another thread to discuss later.

Here is a wikipedia link to what I was looking for, it is a new sedan from Tesla that is supposed to compete with the upper end cars like the BMW 5 Series sedans.

lol, I am doing some recon for my secret mission! :D

I am pretty interested in what Tesla comes out with for this upcoming sedan, they did a bang up job on the roadster. If they are targeting the 5 series from BMW this is going to be one hell of a neat car. I wonder what kind of styling they are going to go with!

A bit expensive...

Putting that motor in the Fit may solve our problems... but I'm not going to do it unless someone else pays for it. Have you seen what they're asking/selling price is? Go check the BUY tab on their site. A little less than $100k is still a bit out of my price range. Cool car though!
