Is this another Fit meet? September... =D
Awesome guys! The more people - the better!
I am sorry to be absent from the forum lately, but it is a month end and at my job that is madness! I feel bad for being one of the key organizers and not provide any help. I came home last night from work and decided to take a short nap. I woke up at 8am this morning when alarm clock went off! My wife was long gone to work and just set my alarm clock and left a note. She let me sleep, because I "needed it"! LOL!
Ok, back to the meet topic! Looks like we will have plenty of meat, some side dishes and drinks. Keep meat on thinner side since thick steak will take more time to cook! Some are bringing cups. Anthony's charcoal will be plenty.
Here are some items from my buddies list we generated after always forgetting something (it will help everybody else that are asking what to bring):
-soap & paper towels
-meat
-cutting board & knives
-charcoal, lighter & fuel
-salt, pepper & condiments (mustard, ketchup, BBQ sauce, horseradish, mayo, .......)
-table cloth (plastic)
-sturdy plates & utensils
-salad & bowls
-dishes for cooked meat
-aluminum foil & toperware for leftovers(everybody bring some for yourselves)
-bread -Nob Hill Dutch crust rules, or Safeway's Old World bread(I think that is the name)
-dish soap
-fireplace tools (very handy!)
-fire extinguisher (a must!-we are in a dry season big time!)
-soft drinks
-bottled water & pelegrino mineral watter
-ice, tubs or coolers for drinks and perishable meat
-first aid kit
-various vegetables & mushrums (no, not what some of you are thinking!)
-fruit (watermelon,.......)
-cake(2 for Anthony alone!
)
-lawn chairs
-some canopies or sun umbrellas
-good attitude
-family & friends
-clean Fit for a photo shoot & group photo!
Items in bold letters I believe are already spoken about, so bring other stuff. Since we really do not know for sure how many of us and guests will come, bring what ever you can and in volumes you and your guest can consume. Cooked leftovers will be split for everybody. Everything else might be great for a repeat meet. Once we get to know each other, I am sure it will be much easier to get us together!
I will try to get there early (9am) and set up signs for directions just in case.
For directions check Anthony's site!
In general, Off 680 FWY in Danville get off on Diablo and drive east. Follow Mt. Diablo State park signs. Make left off Diablo Rd. next to Athenian School
when you stop on the stop sign! Follow the road up to the park gate. Look for the Fit related signs to final destination.
DRIVE SLOW UP THE MOUNTAIN AND WATCH FOR CYCLISTS, ANIMALS AND HIKERS!
ENTRANCE TO THE PARK IS $5 OR $6 PER CAR(I DON'T REMEMBER)!
Looking forward seeing you all!
Ivan

I was planning on washing my car anyway, since it's about that time, I haven't had a chance to wash it since it rained last week. I'll be bringing some aluminum foil and some glass plates (to put the finished kebobs in), and I'll have a 10-gal cooler in case we need some place to put drinks and assorted stuff in.
Tomorrows the meet!
Just want to make sure im bringing the right stuff..A couple BIG bags of chips-couple Big things of soda-Some choclate chip cookies?
Let me know if thats good..

Less Than 24 Hr To The Meet!
I stopped the madness at work (last day of the month!), taking much needed 15 minute lunch brake, inhaling lousy jack in the box sandwich and thinking:
TOMORROW AT THIS TIME I'LL BE MUNCHING KEBABS(CEVAPCICI), CHILLING IN MY FAVORITE CHAIR, TALKING S... ABOUT SUV'S WITH MY FELLOW FREAKSTERS WHOM I WILL MEET FOR THE FIRST TIME!
Lot to do today(beside surviving at work)! Get the car washed, load it with chairs, tub with drinks, BBQ accessories,.....
Make kebabs and "mayham" salad. Finish directional signs....
Do what ever else my wife makes me do for helping me with everything!
LOL!
Hell! LIFE IS GOOD! CAN'T WAIT!

I heard cups, and I just picked up plates, napkins, and plasticware, so we're good in that department.
I think the last few essentials that we might be missing are fire extinguisher, and first aid kit, I'm bringing some hand sanitizer, but it might be good to bring some regular water and dish soap for the cutting board/knives.

I'm packing my 3 travel fire extinguishers (for RVs and such) and some Flat Tire fixer, that I never got to use the last time I got a nail in my tire =P
Tomorrow is the big day, I bought the baby Back Ribs today, so tomorrow I have plenty to start cooking early, hahahaha, The car is not in the best of shape, I will wash it in the morning, I leave home at 7:30, get car washed for about 30 minutes, head out of my area at 8, Will try and be at the location at 9am, and see if everything works out well.
We bought 6 lbs of bananas and 1lb of strawberries, making some juices for tomorrow, will try and pack them up as best possible, since I realized I have no way of packing that much juice.
EDIT: OH MY GOD< i love my sig =D
I just come check the forums and all i do is look at the speed I was going while switching on the highway =P

Ok, made it home in one piece, omg, I am beat. Today was awesome... except my hearing is all screwed up, might have been the altitude change.
Either way, I'm exhausted, and will be sleeping for the night, tomorrow I will be getting up some pictures, and will be sending info on uploading all the images for tomorrow evening.
