I am losing faith in humanity lol, but if any of you know someone directly or indirectly that can sell us a new Toyota Prius, please let me know. Your help would be greatly appreciated. We know what we want and are ready to purchase the car immediately. I just want to do business with someone who deserves our business. Thanks in advance Californians of the South!
It's very interesting to see how a bad economy brings out the worse in people. I've seen it before during the late 80's and early 90's, so it's nothing that new to me. Also, be aware of the contracts you sign. If you read carefully, you'll see alot of redunded things in favor of the person who drew the contract.

The best way to try to get a prius is first ask if you can test drive the model/color car that you want. And afterwards you can always ask... "Why can't I have the one I test drove?" I hope you find what you're looking for...also, I hear the new insight will have folding magic seats like our fits...according to Edmunds.com and the cost for the top model is close to a base prius. Just my two cents. Good luck!

Thanks for the help and advice sirs or madames.

Thanks Nsfit. i know buying used would save a lot of money but it's for my mom and she wants new. She's been very particular about the prius she wants haha.

Thanks for the advice ToFit. Our plan is to find a dealer with the car we want in stock and at a price we can agree to, then show up to drive and inspect it; and finally, to pay and take the car home.

Longo is the Sh*t. Try Costco.com they have a link where you get special pricing for being a member a certain dealerships no haggling or gimmicks. That's how I got my Fit

thanks for the help manxman! i'll ask her if she's tried using costco because if i remember correctly, she already has (and the price wasn't too great).

however, i just thought i should update you guys since my mom changed her mind this morning. the original plan was for me to go shopping around today and if we couldn't find a better price than what we had been quoted yesterday, we'd just settle for the best bargain. however, now that she knows the '10 prius is coming out in a couple of months, she now wants to wait and check that out before she makes a decision on the '09 or '10 model. sigh...mothers...haha.

but don't worry, your attempts to help have not been in vain. i'm going to keep your guys' suggestions and the dealerships/people you've referenced in mind, and when the time comes i'll utilize it all. thanks a lot everyone, i appreciate it.
