Nerd Talk
So i was watching star wars episode 4 today and i realized that why dont c-3po and r2-d2 recognize lukes last name like instantly after it explains that he is luke skywalker. I mean they were with anakin alot during the 1, 2 and 3 movies!
Argh i hate moments like this haha makes me think! Love star wars though use this thread for nerd moments or videogames and stuff!!!!! lets have some fun! |

you are part of the rebel alliance and a traitor! take her away!!!

Luke:Yes were alive!!!!!
C3PO: Listen R2 theyre dying! |
they should have had their memories erased at the end of episode 3 after the luke and leia were born. Later they both served in the rebel alliance with Princess Leia and thats how they knew each other in episode 4.

anybody else have any nerd questions? |
Memory wipe - Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wiki
"Bail Organa ordered Raymus Antilles to wipe C-3PO's memory to ensure the true lineage of Leia Organa remained unknown. Years later, but for unrelated reasons, Owen Lars told Luke Skywalker to wipe the memory of two recently acquired droids—C-3PO and R2-D2—as part of a routine procedure. The wipe, however, was never performed." Technically half right, R2-D2 didn't get his memory wiped (at least we aren't aware of that fact). More info here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/R2-D2 Search for memory wipe. |
I think this leads us to the only true conclusion to be had: GEORGE LUCAS HADN'T REALLY ALREADY WRITTEN THE PREQUELS. He just pretended to have because nobody would want to watch them knowing he just threw them together in the 90's.

my god all this information is brilliant!
