2011 Tri-City Meet, It's here again.

Hey, guys. It's about that time again. TRI-CITY 2011!!! Last year we had a good run, but this year, we're hoping to make everything even better. I passed on the Torch to a buddy of mine who helped me out the past 2 years so he can handle most of the logistics since my time is very limted now.

We need some new spots. Autotoyz is gone, so we need a new primary spot. I know that everyone likes the bell, but as the meets get bigger,and more cars show up, it leaves less and less room for people to park, and that lot is pretty small. We had no major issues with Belmont, and it was a pretty big lot. However, idk if people actually liked that spot or not, since I haven't received any feedback from it. Lakewood Mall was a pretty cool spot, and we only had a couple of issues - primarily with people not paying attention. I can try for that spot again, but no guarantees.

For those that have ideas on spots, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

1. A spot that can accommodate 150+ of our cars, as well as everyone else who might be going there that day
2. A place that I can actually get permission to use
3. A place that has food and restrooms
4. A place that has clear entrances and exits
5. A place that's local and has decent photo opportunity (I don't want to drive to Bakersfield for a photoshoot)
6. A place that has a limited number speed bumps
7. A place that's easily accessible by freeway

If you think you have an idea for a place, post it in the comments, or pm me. Keep in mind that I will scout all locations, so please be as descriptive as possible when posting the locations.

As for the date, I'm shooting for a Saturday in March, maybe the 12th, 19th or 26th. Just keep in mind that the earlier we do this, the cooler the weather will be.

Also, if anybody plans on inviting other forums TELL ME!!!! Last year was a huge disaster when it came to registration, because I had no idea which forums were invited.

I started this tradition with the original photoshoot and cruise back in 2006 and in 08 we have been doing it consecutive under Tri-City Meet here in SoCal.
There are a million meets out here in socal every year but rarely is there an organized meet where we meet once a year to stop to at least three places to eat, photoshoot and enjoy the drives in between.
Nowadays, my job is very demanding to do all the organizing but I get help from dedicated people who see this as an imprtant part of our annual traditions and will help keep this alive. Open to all Makes, not just Hondas. Bring your Toyotas, Acuras, Chevys or and even exotics.
We strive to make these meets fun and safe. So we do enforce proper behavior and check in with local police departments to avoid any unexpected crackdowns. Just act responsibly and you will have one of the best car meets you will attend to.

Relocating to Colorado for a couple years while my lady goes to school. I just recently started working out of the house anyway. :o
