From WRX to FIT

so im thinking about getting a fit for economical reasons. Where do socal owners get their modified Fit maintained? And what shops do you guys get your parts installed? i noticed there wasn't a shops sticky.

Maintenance? What's that? I have my driveway for oil changes but you can probably get some free ones at the dealer if you buy that. Raceline in Temple City does maintenance and installs.

If you want a shop to build and maintain your car, Corner 3 Garage in Lake Forest gets good reviews.

That's a lot closer to Irvine.

For tires I go to 714 tires. Can't beat their prices

^ That's what I've heard too, but I was able to find a better price for tires at a different shop (Temple City Auto Repair).

Also the person who answered my phone call at 714 was rude.

It is weird to see my old neighborhoods being mentioned on forums. I worked at Jim's Tire Shop (gone for many decades) on Rosemead Blvd. in Temple City in '65 & '66, worked for John E. Noys Ford as a Mechanic in '67 & '68 on Las Tunas Blvd. on the San Gabriel/Temple City border, and shopped at the Temple City Von's Market.

For Wafulz, I rode my ten speed bike from San Gabriel to Whittier Narrows Dam/Legg Lake to fish for bluegill in '62-63 by riding down Rivergrade Road (on the banks of the San Gabriel River) before it was turned into the 605 Freeway. At that time, the 605 didn't exist.
