redrumm's first auto X
 

well today woke up at 545am to be at the auto x even at 7am.
this was my first real auto X with me driving instead of riding along with people. It was a blast and i was put in a pretty heft class with other top notch cars. i didnt think i would be able to put down some nice times but i thought "what the heck" i will do my best. i did a lot better than i thought and the fit got more attention than ever since i was the first one that anyone had seen on the course is what i was told. every time i went i got better times and got faster and faster.

here is what my time was. i got 6th out of 24 entries

Good going! Besides the fact that you can obviously drive, I hope the secret to your speed was due to the Megan coilovers.:)
I am jealous, 6th out of 24 cars? That was quite an accomplishment!

thanks. hahah maybe it was the coilovers? i ran it a little soft in the front and put it kinda stiff in the back. it made it pretty easy to swing it around the turns. i tried to post up the times of the cars but i jumbled it all up

Great to see you had a steady drop in times after each pass! I'm also glad to hear you think the coilovers helped out a lot. 7/19 I'll be going to my first autox since installing coilovers, can't wait to see/feel the difference :vtec:

its a huge difference man compared to springs. every run i changed the ride stiffness and it seemed to help a lot. miracle x bar made a big improvement too and really easy to control my car since the rear end is solid and responded very well.

i actually placed 4th with a time of 47.9. next time i will try to ask the guy to let me borrow his camera that mounts on the front window.

Great job on the auto x. I want to try one in September hopefully with some more mods.

congrats redrumm. do any of you guys know of any auto-x events in SoCal?

id say upgrade your tires and run it like it is. You would be surprised how great the fit manuvers through the course.

there was a guy with a 08 SI 4dr and he only had tires and was making some awesome times.

i know there is a site that shows where they are going to be i will have to find it
