02-19-12 > Lets cruise the bay together to this year's Wekfest 2012 (Fort Mason, SF)
All Fits interested in cruising from East Bay to San Francisco on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, please listen up. Below is the link to Wekfest 2012 event itself which is from 1pm - 6pm.
Weksos Presents: WEKFEST SAN FRAN IV – Sunday, February 19, 2012 | VipdOut Looking to set up a Fit cruise starting from the East Bay to the Marina area near Fort Mason, S.F. earlier in the day so we can get good parking and possibly have a bbq (weather permitting) & Fit meet prior to the Wekfest event. Tentative meeting spots along the way will be Dublin/Pleasanton area (9ish), Castro Valley area (9:30ish), Alameda/Oakland area (10ish), then across the bay bridge and along the Embarcardero to Fort Mason and the Marina area (11ish). Please check back for details later but please let me know if you are interested in joining me. If you can't join me on the cruise heading up to S.F. please join us at the Marina area next to Fort Mason. Again, more specific details to follow once I get a feel for how many Fits will be joining us... Hope to see a big turn out...looking forward to meeting Fit enthusiasts in the S.F. I'd be down for a cruise. I live in Livermore and have also been looking' to meet some more fit enthusiasts from the bay.

I may be heading up to SF for Wekfest on the Saturday before. If I end up getting a hotel, it will probably be in the Fort Mason area... I may meet up with you guys before the event!

Thank you for your patience and my apologies for late update. Here are the details for this Sunday's drive to Wekfest in San Francisco from Castro Valley. Please reply to thread and advise whether you can join us in Castro Valley or in San Francisco. 9:00 AM - Breakfast / Coffee McDonald's Address 1620 Strobridge Ave Castro Valley, CA 94546 9:30 AM - Depart for San Francisco via San Mateo Bridge & Hwy 101 North See Link below. (Note: Bay Bridge will be closed Feb. 17-21) 1620 Strobridge Ave, Castro Valley, CA 94546 to Marina Green Dr, San Francisco, CA 94123 - Google Maps 10:30 AM - Arrive at Marina Green Park (parking lot) Marina Green Drive, San Francisco, CA 94123 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM - Photo Op + BBQ Lunch (weather permitting) If the weather does cooperate on Sunday, we'll just have to patronize the local resteraunts. I applied to show in wekfest and they like my car, but I'm wait-listed in case a spot opens up because it's already full... so as long as no spots open in the show, I'll meet you guys up for the BBQ :) Free parking at the Marina Green park I hope?

BBQ is not allowed at the Marina Green Park according to SF Parks and Rec. so I've changed the SF meet to Crissy Field Center which is next to the Marina Green Park and BBQ Grills and Tables are available. The specific address is listed below and I will update the link from Castro Valley to Crissy Field Center.
