I can't be the only one...

...in the metro Detroit/Ann Arbor area on this board.

Anyone? Anyone?

You're not alone anymore!

The Fit is certainly a rare car around here.

mwhyte72 Aug 1, 2007 02:22 PM

It's popular here in Ann Arbor, I see a couple a day during my commute but once I venture out it becomes a different story. There's another member in Grosse Pointe.

Saw another blue Sport last week, but other than that, it's lonely in the Motor City. He gave a wave though.

Not alone

I live in Howell. Where there is 1 Japanese car to 100 American cars. I see only 2 other Fits in Howell area.

Moved away from the metro Detroit area about 2 years ago and I can tell you guys the Fit is a VERY popular car out there, not very many are modded but there's alot of them out here, but then again you've gotta drive far to go anywhere and gas is more expensive so it makes sense:rolleyes:

West side of MI, came on here looking for a group in the Grand Rapids area a friend spotted meeting - said there were like 15-20 Fits all together.

I stick to Xceed mostly, but I think you and I are the only Fit owners on there from the looks of it (your detail thread a month or two back)

I'm north of Detroit and I am certainly seeing more Fits in the last six months!

Blue Fit in the OC (Oakland County)

Hi,

Glad to hear that there's some fellow Michiganders on the board battling this crazy bitter cold! That wind is killer.

I just took delivery of my 2012 Sport last week so it'll be my first winter in the car. How's the car in the snow? I've always driven a MT so I'm curious to know how my AT Fit will do.

JoeLrgr Jan 4, 2012 07:36 AM

At sport, so far so good in the snow, just had to bail on the ties that came on it. Got a set of Nokian winter tires and they made a huge difference. I still miss my 4wd SUV, but the fit makes up for it in different ways.

aesop Jan 4, 2012 11:32 PM

From what I've heard, snow tires make all the difference. I'll have to see how the stock tires do before springing for snow tires.

I'm still trying to recover from the initial car purchase :)

I'm glad to hear that the car did well in the winter for you.

Lansing area here

brivers222 May 27, 2016 09:56 AM

bloomfield hills here.

BrucesFit May 27, 2016 12:21 PM

You guys wont find much import around metro detroit area. This is where the big three use to rule from. Employee get huge discounts, why buy import when you can have a domestic for half of the price tag?

brivers222 May 27, 2016 06:18 PM

Ha I see a ton of fits and Prius and other "foreign" cars around here. Toyota seems to be the front runner followed by civics.

I do work for the big three, ergo I can't afford a big three vehicle lol

BrucesFit May 27, 2016 06:27 PM

Yeah but those are mostly stock cars. Lol cant afford or dont want to afford?

fujisawa Jun 1, 2016 08:43 PM

My folks-in-law live around there. I'm always astounded how many American cars there are. But not very surprising! :D
