Differences between GE6 & GE8?
 

As above,

Is there a list that tells you the differences between the GE6 and GE8?

Currently looking at cat back for my GE6 but not been able to find much and stuff that I have found, they are only applicable to the GE8.

So are they things like exhaust that will fit both the GE8 and GE6?

The cat back I've found is the new J's Racing C304 :cool:

Would be interested in other differences between the 2 models.

I think the difference is the engine. If I remember correctly, there are two engines available here in Europe between 90 and 100 hp. GE6 should be the European engines whilst the GE8 might be the 1.5 VTEC engine from Japan/Australia/USA. I'm not sure, but most likely the exhaust will also fit. My Spoon catback is also built for the L15A and I only got a L13A engine.

Yeah, in the UK, we have the 1.2 and 1.4 engines.

But in the US and Japan, they have the 1.5 engines which is the RS model I believe.

Just want to know if something like a Cat Back for the GE8 will fit our GE6?

When I enquired about the J's Racing front lip spoiler, I was told this would NOT fit and therefore I went for a replica.

I still believe the exhaust will fit.:) Did you ask your shop about possible fitment issues? I'd suggest asking the guys over at AJ Racing (see their forums here). They're really friendly and might help you out.

Anyways, you're from the UK, right? Maybe you can ask Tokyo Express Tokyo Express Car Performance and Tuning Parts for honda mitsubishi subaru nissan mazda toyota. I inquired some things a few months ago and they seem to be quite competent.

I've been over on the Singapore Jazz/Fit forum and it appears that some manufacturers have specific make/model depending on what GE (6 or 8) you have so that would make me assume that there are slight differences with the 2 models.

Will drop Tokyo an email and see what they say but been pointed towards a Fujitsurbo cat back as I had one on my EP3 and loved it.

Will be interesting to see how much it will be to ship that into the UK though :confused::rolleyes:

What country are you from?

I enquired about the Mugen Kit for my GE6 and been told that it should fit no problem.

These were for the following parts:

71110-XLF-K0S0-ZZ
70219-XLF-K0S0-ZZ
84111-XLF-K0S0-ZZ

Be interested to see how you get on as I wanted to bodykit mine, but parts alone were in the region of £1,400 and then need extra for painting and fitting.

im from Brunei..i ordered it from my friend, and he get it from singapore, so im still waiting for the kit to arrive. i will be only installing the mugen rs front bumper kit and the side and rear is just lips.

im also looking for twin muffler for my fit, do you have any idea where can i get it?.

I believe the only difference between the two is the drivetrain, so you should be fine singhon.
