New to Honda fits And need help

Hey everyone, I’m new to the Honda Fit and thought y’all might be able to help me .
I bought the car off of my parents first of all.
It is a 2010 Honda Fit base model with 130,000 miles AND it needs some work.

The paint on the passenger side is all cracked up but no where else on the car? It doesn’t make sense.
Maaco said they’d fix it for $1100 and redo the entire car.

Im only getting 26mpg on the highway on my way to work. I live in Los Angeles so I’m used to getting terrible mpg. But I should be getting better? I’m only getting 22 on the streets.

If if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated

Welcome.

That side was probably in the sun the most.

Welcome----and I'm new too.
If the door is the only thing that is bad on the car's paint, I'd go to a local "Pic & Pull" and get a replacement. The thing about swapping out the door is that when you get the same year/color as you have or close to it, that junk yard door is going to be as "faded" as your current car and the match will or should be pretty good. I've done this with my old Saturn and it worked out great and was cheap, comparatively. And if you can't find a good door, just wait a little while. I'm sure one will come along, especially in your area. Good luck!
