2007 Honda Fit Sport - Dash and Pwr Steer blink off while drving Now Won't Start
I have owned this 2007 Honda Fit Sport. It's always had little electrical glitches i.e. tail light would be out and restart the car it was fine. No stereo change out. I have changed out a few of the ignition coils myself and recently before it hit 150k on odometer I have to replace the AC Compressor (had to in ever honda I've owned with that many miles) Aside from that this thing is as unmodified as you can get ('cept maybe the led dome light and a 12v plugin BT adaptor)
Recently I have noticed intermittently 3 or 4 drives in last 2 months I would be driving along and the dash, radio and power steering would blink out for just a second. I probably would not have noticed it is it wasn't for the radio. I have about 50 minute commute and it would do this several time of each of those legs. Also a few weeks ago i came out to start my car and the radio was in that security lock out mode where i had to punch in the code to unlock. These problems only began after the Compressor change out but unsure if that could have cause this I go to start the car this morning and it makes the usual noise when I first turn the key to on. but when I actually turn to start...nothing. No Click No turnover. Nothing. Now I have had battery issues in the past and our primary car is a larger SUV I pull it over and hook up the cable and usually right away without sitting it will jump the Fit off straight away. Today nothing let it sit for 10 minutes. nothing.I have read a few possibles on the forum but I was looking for a more definite idea. It rained this weekend and I read somewhere about a possible leak on the fuse panel? Does anybody have experience in this being the problem? |
Hello @itfitz978 - just checking. Did you figure out what was causing the electrical glitches? My 2007 Fit Sport is doing the same thing now. Was the failure to start related? (You've got me very worried.) I've got another post asking about this here: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/1st-...-dropouts.html
I hope this resolved easily for you. Thanks for any insight you can offer! |
