Sticky fom the Dealer . . .help me de-sticky!

So I just picked up my new SSM MT and I noticed that running along the roof line in a few places there is sticky clear residue (at first I thougtht it was clearcoat or something and got pissed)- I assume this was just not gotten off good by the dealer and is probably from the protective wrap that they use in transport. My car just got off the train/boat yesterday. Whats the best way to remove/clean this stuff?

Thanks in advance

Tbird

Get a can of Afta from Home Depot, and use a soft rag it will come right off. Been using the stuff for years, works awesome. A lot of dealers use it to remove adhesive as well as clean marks on upholstory. Thats actually where I leared of the stuff, from a Toyota dealer.

man shoulda seen it at delivery. but if you want or if you can bring it back to the dealer and ask them to take it off. At the dealer i used to work at, we used body solvent to clean off the adhesive. Goof off should work too.

3M adhesive remover, RC car motor spray, googone, wd40, all works.

if you use googone or wd40, make sure you wash your car and
wax.

the 3M adhesive remover and motor spray will also remove the wax
so wax afterwards.

best to use a soft cloth, not paper towels to do this.

Yes dealer should do this for you. If you have some Goo Gone and a soft towel that will work as well. That is what I have used several times when I have debadged a car.
