Paint stains on white car
Ok, Im getting these yellow bird droppings on my car and they seem to be staining my white paint. I claybared and polished and the yellow stain didn't come off. I had to use serveral rounds rubbing compound to get it off. Anyways I just waxed the car and is there anything out there that can prevent the paint from staining or is wax fine?

I'd say a sealant would be better than a wax but when it comes to bird doo, it doesn't matter. Bird doo has some nasty acids in it which will in turn etch into the clear, that you don't want. As soon as you see any bird droppings on the car, get it off ASAP!

Meguiars forum recommends using Scratch X on bird doo that has etched the paint. Use some passion behind the application and remember to wax the area once you have used Scratch X on any part of the car.

Sealant protects better but you still ought to get bird crap off as soon as you see it. Fanatics carry microfiber cloths and detailing spray with them for such occasions.

i recommend you try Prima Hydro after every other wash. it is a spray on type
polymer wax that lasts a long time.
as mentioned above, use a polymer sealant for your dailydrivers cause it will
last longer than carnauba based waxes. i use Griot's PaintSealant followed up
by Prima Hydro after ever other wash.

they are both GREAT stuff.
