Soft drinks are not good for electronics. You MIGHT still be able to save it by removing it, rinsing it out thoroughly with water, and letting it dry completely (several days) before trying it. However, the drink might already have corroded something beyond help.

Use certain water

I think using distilled bottled water is a good idea if youre gonna try to rinse it out. Distilled water will not potentially fry it, unlike tap water which is more likely to do so. I've only heard this would work and have never tried it, so best of luck.

I think it's best to dunk it in distilled water (as compdooper said) and let it sit for a good few while which will probably remove the coke residue built up. and then leave it to dry....and we're talking a several days, but you could speed up the process by placing it next to somewhere with heat maybe.

Don't count on it though.

Stop going to McDs? Or be responsible? Is this a troll?

i'm just kinda wondering why you'd be putting the coke on the dash when there is a cupholder to put it in.. Anyway...

if its' been more than a few days you probably will have to soak it in distilled but, on the same line, if it's been a few days you are probably sol.. while I haven't dumped coke on a stereo or such...I have on keyboards and other electronics and unless you get it out of it immediately it usually is hosed.
