Oil Filter
Does the fit use the same size oil filter as the rest of the civic/integra engines... ie. Fram ph3593a filters?
|
I think so.... I would use amp or oem honda one
|
According to College Hills website, same as the Civic/Integra.

Honda switched a few years ago - I think the new Fram number is 8817. From what I understand, however, is that both will work, they are just physically a different external size. The 3593a is shorter and wider where the 8817 is longer and narrower.
I have both at home, use the 3593a on my CRX's, and the 8817 I used on an '05 CR-V I had. NOTE: I THINK it is an 8817, I can check when I go home at lunch today.... |
The Purolator Pur1 is an excellent filter - better than oem.
|
Sorry about that - the correct Fram number is: PH7317 for new Hondas.

the OE filters, while built by FRAM, are superior quuality to the orange box crap you get at walmart
I change my oil every 4000km, so the filter doesn't really matter all that much I am debating switching to JDM HAMP filters -joe |
All the thin Honda filters I've seen have Honeywell writen on them, not Fram.
|
hmm.. i got Fram ones here...
and they are the skinny tall kind -joe |

Reason I'm asking about the FIT filter is that I have some leftover HAMP small filters from my old Type R and was wondering if I could use them on the FIT. :) |
Mobile 1 all the way
