T1R Radiator Hose...

I just finished doing mine today so I thought I would try and wright up a how to...
These are the tools I used to complete the install

First I started by removing the air box

Second I put the front driverside up on a jackstand, and opened the drain plug on the radiator. While that was draining I removed the plastic undertray to access the lower hose clamp.

I found it easier to un-clip the wire harness that ran just above the upper hose rather than work around it. The clips are super easy just be gentle and they'll slide right off giving you about 2"-3" of slack.

Remove the hose clamps and then remove the hoses, it may take some elbow greece and persuation.

Instal new hoses with original hose clamps, I'm sure you could use something newer I didn't have any

Install air box, fill with coolant. I ran the car for two cycles: fans on then off. I also threw a check engine light so I had to disconect the battery for about 20 minutes, reconnected the battery everything was fine.

Nice writeup, Scott! +rep to you

This is definitely on my "short-term goal" list for mods. I want to do this before winter hits for sure.

these hoses are great. you will have a way lower chance of ever having a busted radiator hose. worth the cost in the long term life of the car, for those that have ever had a busted radiator hose... it sucks.

Just Installed T1R Earthing and Grounding kit

I am happy knowing the first coolant flush on my 5 year old FIT was combined with the T1R hose upgrade, and will be good for a long time. Also upgraded the grounding wires with the T1R earthing kit. The overall feel is good. But the car feels good already and you cant put a price on piece of mind. I think I could feel the car drive faster but that is because I was using my right foot more.
