Honda Fit Sport GD3 Battery Replacement size.....What I did.

I see a lot of questions about battery replacement since Autozone, O'riely, Napa, Etc. Don't have a group size to replace it with. Instead of fitting a Civic's heavy battery in there here is what I did.

Autozone part # 8AMU1R

Is from a 99 Mazda Miata. Since they have to fit it in the trunk it's tiny. The Cranking amps are correct to start my 2007 Honda Fit Sport.

It was installed a year and a half ago. And still no problems. It needs to be vented and they give you hoses to do so. I used a factory honda 8mm screw into and existing hole on drivers inner fender and used a wire holder to mount and route the hose so it does not leak on anything important.

Here is pic of installed.

Here's a link to the Autozone battery I bought.

Brilliant! Thanks for the information! Although I don't have any issues with my current battery it's a good idea to plan ahead. I was looking around for another battery on Interstates site without good results. I totally forgot to check for the battery to a Miata. Thanks again!

Also, are you using a different kind of brake fluid? It looks very dark.

Not using any different fluid. Just havent ever changed it.

I will this weekend. The car still has OEM brakes pads and rotors with 87k on them. Still have pad left. Crazy.
