Hard to Dry Spots
1 Attachment(s)
There's one spot in particular, right below the side mirrors that is an absolute nightmare for me to dry. It seems as if there is an endless stream of water in there. Any techniques to dry completely to avoid water running down the door panel? Thanks!

maybe a little rain-x.

Water collects inside the housing while you are washing it. Just wait awhile until the water stops dripping out then wipe it. I usually walk around drying the rest of the car and by that time the water has drained out of there.

Thanks for the tips!

I hate that to lol :)

Blow the water out with canned air. It sits in the mirror and yes it is annoying as hell!

air blaster sidekick or those keyboard canned compressed air like someone previously mentioned

Hi OP,
I would like to suggest a remedy: I always use an electric leaf blower, and I do not use a gas blower because they tend to spit out oil and fuel. However, if your car is properly waxed and protected air drying your car with an electric leaf blower will solve your issues. Further, the spot you are talking about can be problem area; therefore, I suggest blowing it out with an electric leaf blower, and I believe this will solve your issues. It did for me! |
Or simply open and shut the doors a few times and then wipe dry. It gets all the water in the handles and crevices out. Works for the trunk hatch too.

How did the suggestions work?

Leaf blower is great idea. Mine is just inside garage door waiting to be used.
Canned air is rather strong and may mess wiring like in my case I have after market winkers. |
Drive the car home for the car wash, then wipe any excess water off... or use waterless car wash products...
