Hi,

We're supposed to pick up our Fit next week.

We noticed the wheel well liner in the front is only 4" wide on the back-side of the wheel. Why wouldn't it cover all of the painted-metal behind the wheel? Does this make any sense (or just cents for Honda)?

I've read quite a few posts here talking about the wheel wells, but I haven't seen any mention of a plastic extension for the existing cover (which seems like the best solution). Does anything like that exists? Or is the only way to protect the frame to hit it with the heavy rubberized/wax coating (and then check back regularly to make sure it hasn't cracked to let water in behind)?
