orange peel removal on OEM paint.
Greetings,
I love my Fit, but since first day I notice some crazy orange peel on my car. I know that Honda paint is know to be thin like a crack addict. So I waited until a safe method was available to do it. This is the before/after pic https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.n...14458978_o.jpg Huge difference.. And here is a video of the work done.. What do you guys think? I will be careful in the future not to induce many scratches since I'm not sure this paint will take another heavy polish. |
I'm cracking up at the "before" pic.

Yeah what's up with Benz paint having so much orange peel? I've noticed that on quite a few of them, new ones.
Nice work on that polish OP it looks great. |

Nice work on that polish OP it looks great. Benz uses a ceramic clear coat, and dries up in about 5 to 15 mins. It doesn't give enough time to the clear coat to "sit" on the panels, hence the orange peel madness. The good thing about that is... the car looks like new under shade. |
That is a HUGE difference. Good job OP.
