GD Clutch Recommendations

So... noticed that my clutch fluid is VERY low, although clutch is currently functioning okay.

At 109K miles, and based on how I drive... figure it's time to consider doing the clutch. Seems I can get an Exedy HCK1006 kit for around $140. Local auto parts places like O'Reilly and Autozone are both wanting around $250 for their kits with "lifetime warranties".

Any feedback?

Your problem is likely a clutch slave cylinder or the master or both going bad. You can usually find fluid inside the car around the clutch pedal rod into the master cyl if its failing.
Clutch life is variable based on driving habits style and location but I don't swap them till they slip.

Rock auto... Better brands than the local stores for me anyway..

There is both a master and slave unit for the clutch? Hrmm... where are they? :)

Master is connected to the clutch pedal, looks like a small brake master cylinder, Slave is on the transmission and pushes on the throwout bearing, I'm not sure if the FIT slave/transmission end is internal or external, I have a Auto.. :)

I've had to replace the slave on all 4 cars I've owned with them, the good thing is they are usually < 75 bucks and not hard to change if external (All of mine less than an hour... ).

There are internal types that require spitting the engine and tranny so if I have to go that far I inspect the clutch and swap if its looking worn. Hate to pull that all apart and not do everything that needs done.
