Best Part Combo for High RPM Gains????
 

Well,

a few months ago I tested a Fit and I did not like the driving experience of it. Not enough high end power. Months later I am considering getting one again. That little bugger is so freaking cute. It's just so hard to say no. In any case, if I do get a Fit I will definetly add some mods to give it some power in the higher rpms.

Which brings me to my question. In your opinion, what is the best combination of intake, exhaust, header, etc, that would give the best gain in the high RPMs? No FI induction, please. Any replies shall be appreciated.

I'd say every part you could afford. Anything is a help. Even with all the parts you've stated you'd maybe get 10hp up top. It's a small engine bro made for efficiency not power. That's not to say there is none to be had that is for sure. Start with coldair intake and then a muffler with straight through design like Apex-i N1 will give you more topend. Just remember most topend mods u gain you'll loose some lowend so headers are a great way to get it back and lightweight flywheel (manual owners). Lighter wheels is also like gaining power too. Thanks for the reply. Im not really looking for a big increase in HP. My goal is mainly to increase the power in the higher RPMs, even at the loss of power at the lower RPMs. Maybe I worded it incorrectly. But that's what I would like to do if I get the Fit.

you can always supercharge. the fit is def. todays CRX.

The T1R Carbon Intake is GREAT!!! It gives AWESOME power at higher RPMS. I definitely recommend it.

I had the Megan Racing header in my car and now I've switched to the DC header. I found that at 4K-5K RPM, the Megan pulled a lot more than the DC. The DC pulled more between 3K-4KRPM. (I"m selling my Megan Header by the way)

The T1R cat deletion pipe is also worth it. ( i don't have it in yet. )

Then I'd go for the Spoon B-Pipe and Axle back or the T1R Cat back system.

(I know that with the T1R intake, pulley, and cat back exhaust, you'll get roughly +10HP dynoed)

Intake, header, cat-delete (suggested) and a full exhaust. I have yet to install a header but as of now with an CAI, cat-delete, and exhaust my car screams up top. Well; compared to stock. :D

Once I put on a cat-back the up top gains are really there.

Thanks a lot for the replies guys. The T1r products do look interesting. I am not familiar with the company, so I dont know what the quality of craftmanship, but I guess a little research is needed from me.

T1R has a new header out. They didnt dyno it with a wideband some Im not interested. Bigger runners are said to give our cars a lean condition up top.

T1R products are high quality. Probably one of the highest, I wouldnt worry about quality with them. They got you covered.

AJ-Racing has a header that dynoed 8whp alone. (So they say.)
Its also $650 but thats some damn sexy power!

OMG!!! Looks like my friends Wagovan. Hers has the stock motor; rebuilt though. Hers is just lowered on the Integra Sunflower/SE's and an exhaust. She just had a baby and wants to get rid of it. Hehehee.. Idea?

Race Header : Very very good for high RPM. and for me, don't lose at low rpm.

i would go with a one peice CAI urr umm... "fujita", DC shorty header, T1R test pipe, spoon B-pipe, and any kind of axle back you prefer... lighter crank pulley wouldn't hurt either... ;)

custom itb's, racing header, cams, cai, exhaust.
