That looks pretty close to the T1R exhaust:confused:. Pretty expensive though. I think i have it narrowed down to either Megan or T1R for now. Im still trying to decide. Thanks everyone for your input. If anyone would like please share what you would choose.

i did A LOT of looking around, but for me, the megan was the best looking
out of them all. here are areas that i like:

1) angled canister paralleling body moldings(rear valance) at the bottom when looked from the side.

2) stainless with high quality welds.

3) i like how far the tip extends past the bumper... can't see it much if tucked in.

4) tip size, design. looks clean.

5) how much the canister is visible from the rear. it's not a ricor look yet
not boring.

too bad it doesnt sound that great. :D fitment was very good.

What don't you like about the sound? I was thinking of getting one myself.

it sounds like those cheap universal mufflers from places such as arospeed.
i donno, you might like the sound. my favorite sound out of them
all was tanabe's touring... but that large bore...no thanks.

a while ago, as some of you may recall, the guys at H-Fit were supposedly working on a low profile cat back, I don't know what ever happened to that. I e-mailed them a month ago or so to ask and...no response. What they should do (if they are going to at all) is try to emulate the ep3 dual tip, they'd have a hot seller on their hands!

I road tested it myself & the TIR VIP muffler sound awesome in real!!! This one in the pic is the same muffler just that the production model comes with a blue tip that's all.

I can't wait to see what decision you make. Eventually, I might do the same thing, and I think the Megan looks great.

Honestly after searching threw alot of older threads i think im gonna go with the T1R now. It is more expensive but i believe that the quality is better. Im not a huge fan of the riveted tips but the angle of them is better then the megan. Im thinking its the better option. I have also decided to wait till after my deployment to make a move and if i am gonna do the axle back the right way im gonna swap everything else out as well and get full T1R. Who knows cause i do change my mind alot but so far this seems to be the better option.

That's cool! I know quite a bit about changing one's own mind, hehe.

I've been looking on YouTube at some of the post of people showing off how their exhaust sounds. Whenever I do finally decide to change out the exhaust, I wanna be sure to find something that doesn't sound obnoxious IMO. Just a personal preference.

Good luck with whatever you finally decide! :wavey:
