Auxilary Vent directly on the Intake Manifold?

Ok, crazy idea... looking for the pros and cons

Here is the theory

Ok, on my WR intake manifold I have a nipple with a plug right up near the throttle body. I was thinking about unplugging it and putting a tiny vent filter on it.

Why? For two reasons; First, I have a CAI and if I ever get hydro locked it may be enough to prevent the water from sucking up and reaching the engine. Secondly, my car lags worse than a turbo when you hit the gas because of the CAI. I am wondering if a little relief would improve the initial response.

What i don't know is if the car ECU will "freak out" because I am bypassing the throttle body.

Anyway, just a wacky idea. Comments?

it'll mess up your idle and cause you to run a little lean, as well probably throwing a MIL/CEL. and won't effect water getting in at all. Just buy an AEM bypass valve if your concerned about water.

I figured as much, it just bothers me that this nipple sits there unused! I think it is for a boost gauge or something.

Could be used for vacuum gauge.
