removing stock intake box bracket

i was just wondering bec i just chopped my hps CAI to make it a SRI bec i hated the lack of torque and was wondering if anyone found an easy way to remove that stock air box bracket underneath thats bolted to the engine down there, if i could find a easy way to take it off than id be able to put the intake filter a little bit more into side so it doesnt suck as much hot air

hahahahaha where did you come from tho? the top of the engine bay or the wheel well or under the car?

i came through the top. its an awkward position but you have to just muscle it out.

took out the whole stock intake and battery. then took off the bracket but left the bolts in. its a tricky process

i got it! i went out to the garage and got a 12mm wrench and got the front one loose and then turned it turn by turn until it came out, as soon as you break loose the other one you can loosen the bolt with your fingers and presto its off, it feels like the bolts are in the there hella deep when you undoing the first one but once you get that one off than its a piece of cake, thanx for the info, it helped me. now my intake filter is snugged down inside that opening and looks way better!
