So I think I'm royally screwed.
 
OK anyone with insight PLEASE help me out..

I was doing a compression test, and the adapter on the end of the compression tester got stuck in my no. 2 cylinder spark plug hole and WON'T COME OUT.

I can't fit a socket around it, I tried hammering a screwdriver into it to turn it out but that didn't work either. You can't get to the spark plug tubes through the valve cover either...

any ideas? I'm really out of ideas over here...

What do I grip? the adapter is only like 2" long, and the spark plug tube is like 4 or 5" deep. :(

That might be my only option.. The GF gets off work soon, so I'll bum a ride to the local auto parts store. I hope they have one big enough...

No, thanks for trying to help. It's a stupid sparkplug-sized dohickey that's stupidly stuck down in the tap for the sparkplug.

Welp, the screw extractor did it! I got it out, put her back together, and she purrs like a kitten.

I'm celebrating by putting some stoli in my slurpee. (just turned 21 like 2 days ago). w00t. Rep to KnuckleBuckett.

I was pretty close to a panic attack LOL.

I kept trying to think of ways to get the possible metal shavings out of there, but what would I do? The piece I had was aluminum, so magnets are out. The spark plug holes are WAY recessed, so I couldn't even see in there. I eventually just cranked the motor over with no spark plug in that hole to *hopefully* blow it out.

On the bright side, my compression numbers were good at 215 210 220 220

Wow. Do you have access to a Air compressor? You could try blowing it out that way, but I'm thinking if there's any type of oil in there then it would get stuck. Sucks that it got stuck in there.

glad to hear all is good. how many times did you crank it during your test?

kinda like getting your foot caught in a bear trap in the middle of nowhere
