question about nitrous timing

Hey, i was looking for a technical explanation of why most nitrous manufactures and most people specify only to apply nitrous when at full throttle?
i don't see the reason for this limitation other than it being wasteful or un necessary.

any nitrous run at partial throttle is a was of the gas since the car does not have its full power potential being applied.

full throttle just gives you the best bang for your buck .

Well there are several reasons. Firstly being that making a nitrous system apply less than full flow is difficult and expensive. There is also the closed loop issue - at WOT your car is in open loop, meaning you can add fuel to your heart's content without fighting the ECU. This makes it possible to run the richer fuel mixtures required for nitrous.

Also important here is feel. People want the feeling of having god come down and kick your car in the ass, and a progressive controller won't give that.
