K20 Question

I did a little research and cant seem to get a definitive answer. I am wanting to swap the K20a2 into the Fit. I would like to keep DBW for the TB to keep costs low. So i am wondering if i could bolt up a DBW TB from either the K20z3 or the K24a2. Also will the K20a2 Hondata ECU work with this engine if using a DBW TB?

You can run whatever TB you want its just more work to convert to cable.

The infamous phrase comes into my mind "You can do anything you want if you got money."

Seriously tho what dew said is true. You can w/e you want just got to make it work

dbw tb helps ease the labor of swapping a k20.

jpax has a z3 in his and he even retained his cruise control. try contact hasport with your questions since they know all the wiring aspects of this swap.

Well i know i want to keep DBW to keep labor to a minimum. I just needed to know what is needed to bolt a K20z3 TB onto a K20a2 intake manifold. I know i would need an adapter, just not sure if anyone makes it.

RBC intake mani with the adaptor from k-tuned for the TB thats the best setup.

Nighthawk_GD3 12-27-2009 12:43 AM

No can do. RBC intake mani is too long. Would have to do quite a bit of work on the Rad support and possibly even more. You HAVE to use the "snail" mani from the K20a2 no matter what engine you have.
