replacement filter for mishimoto intake

So its time to replace my filter on my mishimoto intake due to its all rusty and nasty. I have been reading through KN's charts and i cant seem to find one the same size. Anyone replace theirs yet? Also anyone else have a problem with the filter rubbing on the factor intake mounting bracket? :popc:

My filter is still good with a bit of rusting.
Replacement wise you can go with any brand of conical filter.
Just make sure the inlet size is the same.
Only complain of rubbing I'm aware is with the radiator hose.

I've been wondering what to use too, gotta measure it tomorrow and see if a K&N makes something close. I want a blue replacement though...

How many miles do you guys have on your filter to need replacing?
I thought the filter was reuseable.
Anyway, if you don't want to deal with oiling then maybe use an AEM oiless filter.

i've got 30k on mine...i want the same tappered cone style but kn doesnt make one small enough

Couldn't you simply use the intake cleaner, and then oil it like any other filter?

Replaced mine with a K&N. I used a 4" long one for a bit more flow and it barely fit. Got mine off of ebay from Summit Racing. There're others that are somewhat the same size as the one I use. There's one that's about the same size as the Mishimoto but inlet is only 2.75".

you wouldnt happen to know the part number on the kn?

Fitting 03-13-2010 08:03 PM

PN# KNN-RU-3700
Be forewarn it's a very tight fit.
I had to shove it as far back on the cf chamber as I could to get it to fit.
Don't get anything over 4" long.
Now I've to buy a new breather to match :o

Any idea what the MAF sensor connection is? Screw on? Standard size?

loudbang 03-22-2013 03:27 AM

That is a GD there is NO maf sensor on GDs.

A what on a what???
I was told it was a IAT, not a MAF. I want to design my own system, and need to know what the connection is also. I don't have the car here most of the time, so I can't just yank and check.

What year is your Fit. 2007-2009 GD 2010 --- GE. Or just pop your hood and look at your VIN number it will have GD or GE in the first part.

GD IAT slides in a rubber grommet friction fit.

GE MAF is held in with two screw fasteners.

2008. Those aren't generations are they? I thought it First Gen stopped in 2008.
Either way, still good to know. Tubes are easy to make, threads are not.
