You are correct.
But I had a manual Turbodiesel Cummins Ram 6BT (QSB swapped) with the 5speed manual new venture 4500, which put up with 55+ psi from an HX35-HT60 compounded turbo system and over 1000lb-ft at the rear wheels!
So only the frame and interior were from Chrysler/Dodge, fortunately.
I will miss that big nasty smelly monstrosity, but certainly not the trips to the gas station or trying to park it.. well anywhere.

New Process Gear, a division of Magna Powertrain, was a joint-venture automobile transmission company set up by General Motors and the Chrysler Corporation in February 1990. It was 64% owned by DaimlerChrysler and 36% owned by GM until February 2002, when General Motors sold its stake in the company to DaimlerChrysler. Magna International purchased 80% of the company, under the holding name "New Process Gear", from DaimlerChrysler on September 29, 2004 and continues to operate it. As of 2007, Magna owns 80% of the plant.

i know this is extremely delayed but thank you diamond for the extensive review. Now one question, how do you piece together a 1000 dollar turbo kit for a fit, salvaging? i would love to boost it, its been forever and still haven't.
