Working on getting a good sound clip up this weekend, sorry for the delay with pictures.

Here is a quick review, for the 128 (total to my door) I paid for this, I feel like I stole this. It has a fantastic deep tone, and IMO, looks just as good as it sounds. It has no "ricey" tinniness to it, for a 1.5L 4cyl this thing sounds pretty deep. Install was as simple as it gets, just like any other axleback. Combine this with an SRI or CAI and it will really get an aggressive tone. I am running it with the Fujita SRI, and it sounds fantastic. It does not have the "drone" associated with most honda exhausts at highway speeds. It is engineered to stay below 93Db, so if loud is an issue, fret not. Honestly, if you are wanting a good deep pur and not looking to spend a ton of cash, you honestly cannot beat this value.

 

I'll agree with everything Sherb said it's incredibly surprising how deep and clean it sounds, for the money I don't think the quality can be beat.

Almost looks like HKS Hi_power. Might go the LSD route is they are similar. Eagerly waiting for video sound test.

 

I think the LSD is deeper from what I can compare between mine and the youtube clips of the HKS.

It seems to purr better at lower RPM & louder at higher RPM than HKS. HKS does sound like it breathes better, but with any axle back HP gains are minimal. I hope the price stays the same for the LSD so I can pick one up.

Well, had to try out the exhaust. Noticed a little tin sound after car revs back down. Otherwise, looks pretty good.

Recently had a B-pipe made at a local shop combined with this exhaust the sound is crazy deep and wonderful.

 

I thought about going this route. I wasn't sure if it was really necessary to buy a brand name b-pipe since it looks simple for a shop to make one. So your custom b pipe doesn't have the resonators right? It doesn't buzz like a bee at high RPM does it? Also what diameter size did you go with?

 

2.25 from the cat with resonator delete, Depth of sound increased by quite a bit with a nice burble on decel. Sounds real mean at high RPM, no can of bees sound whatsoever.

 

Looks great if you like mufflers.

 

Do you think I am going to have the attack of the bees issue if I have a custom B pipe made after I install my header, or is the fact this thing is designed to be legal going to help with that?

 

Don't think you will get that annoying sound from adding headers, but it might end up making it too loud.

But it's only for the 07-08 model. I don't think they made one for the 09-12 yet.

 

I installed this exhaust few months ago, and I really enjoy the sound. However, I feel as if the car has lost a bit of torque, and requires a lot more push on the gas pedal when accelerating from a light.

Has anyone else noticed a loss of power with this exhaust or am I imagining it. It is a 2007 Sport and is the only modification I have done to the car. Could it be running too lean? Thanks for you help!

 

Its not impossible, but an axle back exhaust should not dramatically effect the car like that...

Also, after a week or so of driving with it, the ECU would have "learned" and compensated for any "unwanted" deviation from an eco minded target AFR It's too smart for our good!

If you want to continue modding for power, save up and invest in a Hondata FlashPro!

 

At first I was thinking the same thing. Honestly, I believe it's when you accelerate it sounds like it should be going faster than it sounds. I don't think axlebacks really affect performance. I think tuning it with the flashpro along with some bolt-ons is the way to go.

 

Different size pipes and or velocity of the gasses moving move the torque band around. It's a good possibility that you have "lost" some low down power and it affects your "take off" BUT the good news is that power went someplace else in the range and usually it's top end power increase.

The GD ECM has enough "tuneability" so that you SHOULD not be running lean. Just check your plugs after a few hundred miles to be sure if you do not have a scanguage.
