They call them "Ing's 2 " style? It's the only option. I actually like them better.

f'ing sweet,
I picked up the axis style kit through them also, going to try and paint this week.

did you have to remove any bumper supports?

gthumb23 May 11, 2008 11:45 PM

Yes, I had to fabricate a new front crash bar. I used 1/8" plate and two lengths of 1" , 1/8" thick tube.

how is the fitment? looks like it fit's pretty well as in gaps. Did the body shop do a lot of work on it?

gthumb23 May 12, 2008 07:20 AM

I do all the work on my car myself, and this was my first body kit. That being said...Fitment was "good" out of the box. I spent about 8 hrs. "fitting" to my liking and then about 10 hrs. on finish prep, (bondo, fiberglass reinforcment, construction of crash bar, prime, sand, prime, sand...). Not all the work I did was necessary and a body shop, I have no doubt, could produce a descent-looking end product in much less time.

so apperantly there was no way to mod the stock rebar.
thanks for the info bro

Modifying the stock bar would require significant cutting and result in decreased strength. The new bar I created is stronger than the original.
