Customizing iKONA's Lower Rear Garnish
I have a lower rear garnish coming soon from iKONA! I'm hoping to get some feedback to help me figure out if I'm going to need to get it custom trimmed to make it sit flush with my Ings kit. (The kit is truly USDM--requires no cutting of reinforcement bars, so I'm hoping it's the same depth as stock 5")
To clarify, the garnish I am talking about is the one that mounts on the edge of the tailgate and makes the lines from the bumper continue across the back. It is NOT pictured. Please let me know your thoughts and vote! :D http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/6225/mg0705.th.jpg http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/1...cface11.th.jpg http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/5008/b6323f71.th.jpg http://img119.imageshack.us/img119/4...d3usdm5.th.jpg |
I think this was done already once on alberts car, the guy that got the first Ings+ kit. He got the lower garnish from hondafittuner.com and it fit perfectly with the ings+ kit because the ings kit has a prefect fitment just like oem.

iKONA is making his rear lower garnish off a mold of the hondafittuner one that I brought him.
We test fit the original part on my car and it sit very nicely with an even gap all the way around (gap is obviously necessary to prevent the garnish from scratching up your bumper and vice versa). |
It's just looks kike the same gap...
