Pulling Front Fenders

approximately how much space would be created?

chinkyy 07-30-2010 03:06 AM

someone answer!!! pleas

How about a more specific question... From what I've heard most people pull the fender to fit to a specific wheel/tire combo they have already selected.

L-Bear 07-30-2010 03:43 PM

depends on how much you pull and what size wheel and offset your trying to fit.

Fit4Trav 07-30-2010 06:39 PM

Yeah,

I really depends on how MUCH you pull and roll. Make sure the fender is heated up so they are pliable and you dont chip paint. I would recommend putting the wheels you are trying to fit on and then measure (or eyeball)

chinkyy 07-30-2010 07:26 PM

i know the wheels will stick out a little less than an inch. i was just wondering if the fender can be pulled that wide

Fit4Trav 07-30-2010 07:36 PM

Im sure they can the fenders are soft. I would recommend having a body shop to it though for that much of a roll and pull

gd3vbp 07-30-2010 08:33 PM

My fronts were pretty flush, I was able to roll and pull by hand, had to do it gently. I'm not sure I could have gone any further without heat and a roller or bat.

You can pull an inch(25mm)with no problem. I and a bunch of people done it already.

Any pics of pulled fenders front and rear. Sounds like the next best thing when having low offset wheels. Plus I think it makes the fit looks a bit more aggressive.

crash001 07-31-2010 08:10 AM

how did you pull it by hand just grabed and pulled?

gd3vbp 07-31-2010 11:00 AM

In essence yes, but if you go at it like a fucktard its going to show because it'll be wavy. Pull back the front fender liner and tuck it under the lip on the fender and you should slowly be able to bend that flat, then you can pull it evenly.

Or let the wheels do the rolling as it rubs up front :p Kinda what i did

L-Bear 07-31-2010 02:18 PM

i used a heat gun and a phone book.....:o hah

Mr08FiT 07-31-2010 02:48 PM

+1 on the heat gun if you're not going to fork out the $
I used a heat gun and rented a roller from a local shop and I still have nasty chips in the rear.

L-Bear 07-31-2010 02:58 PM

I didn't get any chips at all. well in the rear I did but not from rolling, it was from hammering hah
