Smile New here, 09 Fit Sport 75k Tidewater Blue

Hi All,

I have been lurking here for a while and after many months of looking, I finally found a Fit! It's an 09 Sport Automatic from the original owner, with 75k. It was a city car and shows many scrapes and dings, especially on the bumper, but mechanically looks really sound with consistent maintenance.

Some things I was thinking about doing are:
- Tinting the windows, but still not sure how dark to go (California). Maybe 70% fronts, 15% rear to stay legal.
- Having a hitch installed, for a rear bike rack
- Phone holder mount
- Floor mats (Carpets already scuffed up)
- Aux Bluetooth?
- Maybe extending the driver seat at some point (I'm tall)

Cheers,
Hawk

70/15 may look pretty goofy? Very dark versus fairly light

I agree it may look quite uneven. I was considering going 50% in the front, but just don't want the hassle of worrying about getting a ticket going much darker. Perhaps 15% rear window, 20 - 35% side back windows, and 50% front.

Looks pretty good considering the age, and surprising how few miles on it.

I don't understand the super dark tint myself, but my night vision isn't the greatest after Army provided laser eye surgery. Done right it can look sharp, though. Look forward to seeing your results.

In California, you can tint your rear and back windows any percent you want. The front and front side cannot have any tint. Personally, I run 35% all around (except front windshield.)

I was reading the front sides can have 70% legally, and the front windshield can have a 4" strip at the top.
