Hello all, I used to own a GD3 5MT last year which I replaced with a FG2 civic si but now with gas prices I'm wanting to return to a fit for fuel economy and also practicality reasons (hauling mountain bikes, ebikes, university lab equipment etc), with the ridiculous local prices of fits, I decided to start to import a JDM one as Canada has a 15 year import rule.

So, I'm a bit confused with the JDM trims, it seems the 1.5S is somewhat equivalent to the "sport" trim in north America, but I'm confused on the 1.5W trim, as English Wikipedia states "At the top of the range is the 1.5W four-wheel-drive version for JPY1,743,000", but I see quite a few 1.5W's at auction that are 5mt and FWD, not AWD and cvt like wikipedia states. I also see automatic climate control on both the 1.5S and 1.5W.

I don't believe I see cruise control on any of the models, is it possible to outfit the fit with an assembly from the USDM fits?

So, which is the best trim to get and year (2007 and under), I can also get a Fit RS in October (GE8) but it will cost me a good deal more (~4500 CAD vs ~7500+ CAD)
So i think I will get a GD3 unless the GE8 RS is a significantly better vehicle.
