i should be getting the GK's mobil1 tomorrow. might not be able to get to doing da oil change but will wash the car including engine bay for sure and swap to the factory wheels/tires. will start early am since im off tomorrow and also wash the GTI afterwards.
i did the STI's oil change yesterday. looks like the STI has a lot of piping for da oil cause the manual states 4.5qts yet 4.5 would only go 1/2 up da dipstick. ended up pouring 5qts in and it was perfect. it uses a small oil filter too... 108 / 1008 size. huh..

huh, got da mobil1 for the GK 0W20 but it's no longer a green cap as before. same silver cap as my 5w30 i got for my other car. not dat it matters but i can't call it a 'green cap' nomore..

Yeah I was confused when I went to the store to buy it for my recent oil change. Label was identical...but no obvious/distinguishing green cap.

yah, for me id get the GK but only if it was made in japan and MT. as a car the GK is a better package dan the GE, but da fit and finish is not to my liking.
i really enjoyed my '12 GE. it was replaced by my STI actually..

huh... just as i was about to do da oil change on da GK, kinda crummy weather coming up.
i guess i will postpone until next weekend. id like to get da factory wheels set out of my garage too. need to wash da snows real well before storage.. definitely getting an AWD car next time like da HRV (was it?) and just run all season tires all yr long. no swapping.

They look and sound fun. Would it replace anything? Or just adding to the stable?
We had a regular 500 for a rental when my gfs car was rear ended and getting fixed. its a snappy, fun little car. Probably would be funner in manual and more HP lol. Definitely a small car...dont even remember using the trunk.

Hello,
I'm new to the neighborhood. I have a few questions. I have a 2008 Honda Fit Sport, Manual tranny with over 320,000 miles. This is my daily. I can get my hands on a 2016 (motor, manual tranny and computer) for $900 from a yard (with 12k miles).
1. Will the 2016 motor fit in my GD?
2. Mine is a VTEC and so is the donor car, which is good, but does it matter if its a DSI or VTEC (There was another one there with 6k miles, but DSI)?
3. Will this just be a plug and play?
4. HAS ANYONE EVEN DONE THIS? It's worthwhile for me cuz it's going to cost way too much to fix all that needs to be fixed on my current Fit. And no I don't want to do a K swap, cuz I really don't have the $$ for that.
NOTE: Bearing in my tranny is going out (again, first time at 90k and now at 320k) and I don't feel like poppin' her open again. My clutch is going to give soon too, I can feel it.
I'm thinking of this swap because I just got new tires, replaced all bushings and new suspensions (about 15k miles ago). The body has one tiny door ding and the paint still shines. Bluebook is really low, I can't even get my money back for the new parts that are on the car, so I'd rather keep her and do a swap.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
