Make sure you thoroughly test the infotainment system in the Sport Hatch prior to purchase.

Wife wanted one badly, but the system is archaic and poor if you care about modern tech. Doesn't even have satellite radio or android auto/apple car play. Even the bluetooth was spotty. No reasonable way to change or upgrade.

I just assumed every modern car had those kinds of features until my Dad bought a 2017 CR-V EX. He is in a battle with Honda because his system won't even do the things that the sticker/owners manual says it will. It's incredibly crappy and not a good experience.

We ended up buying the wife a VW Golf Wolfsburg for less money, nicer interior, more features, etc.

Was extremely sad for both of us because we wanted a Honda. Only consolation is we kept the Fit!

Honda needs to partner with someone on their infotainment systems because they clearly do not have that part of the market figured out.

I liked the Si's stock infotainment system.

But I was more focused on the driving experience.

For sure, I've not heard great things about the 350/370. My friend was torn between AP1 & 350Z...until he drove a Z.

We would own an Si if it came in a hatch. Having a 6 year old makes the coupe not very practical and the Sedan just doesn't do it for either of us.

The dealer offered us a "good" deal on a Type-R, but it just isn't in the budget and doesn't make sense as a high mile commuter.

we all make necessary decisions. going with the Golf imo is a great decision.

last month VW even sold more golfs (includes GTI, R) than Fits in the USA. thats pretty impressive. i think people that drive these cars will go with the golf if they want quality driving dynamics, but if fuel economy, rear footwell space, and versatility, i think the Fit is still king.

i mean when i need to carry cargo i dont even think about using my GTI or R. i just go straight to my wife's GK. lol

got a busy day today with running 3 major errands this am so no time to motor my fun cars. i hate parking them at the strip mall parking lot so just take the GTI and GK.

looks like the paints for the universal side diffuser for the R is coming in today.
the diffuser itself is expected to arrive next week so basically on schedule. i have a 4 day weekend coming up next weekend (my short summer break) so ill be working on dat. im hoping that it fits nicely and ends phase1 of mods to make the car mine.

alright, help my buddy load up 6 fat wheels (with 285-305 tires) onto the GK to carry it to his shop. he was very impressed with the GK's utility.

and we didnt even break a sweat.

There was a long while I wanted some REALLY bad hail damage to my Fit to total it out.

Glad that never came along.

that's funny cause i sometimes wish i get one bowling ball sized hail to crush the fit. good reason to convince wife to get something nicer for her.. but she really likes the simplicity and economy of the Fit.

motored my STI, had a great time. spot QD'ed afterwards, then washed my GTI, cleaned the GK's interior, and cleaned the R's underside of the side rockers in prep for the diffuser install.

..and i just realized i forgot to dust the STI's interior.. fak.. will do that after lunch.

got my R baseball cap. very nice... but these stretch types are too small for my pumpkin head.. so gave it to my Ty ball stuffed animal chimp.

should be getting the side diffusers soon.. kinda excited.
