i mean i'm happy where i am now since my GTI is just a dd and still very quick on the expressway, but mang.. could've been so much nicer if i had a S3 instead as dd and my MT R and STI.

Got a buddy gonna sell his '13 or '14 GTI 5-door in 6speed soon. Think something like 15k or whatever KBB is.

yah my STI burned oil while new too. it's fairly common. neither are burning oil now.

shinjari so how you liking your new ride? those civic in white look real nice.
New ride is fantastic. Currently getting leather installed, audio install parts should arrive by the weekend, ordered all weather mats by husky liner, think I've decided on Tint so gotta schedule that too. Geez.

Wonder if my Civic is burning oil...only thing that Sti, R and GTi have in common is a turbo. Lol.

very cool! sounds like your car is coming along!!

id check the oil every other week maybe for the first couple of months. it may may not be burning oil but i've had NA engines in my nissans also burning oil to about 10k miles. then it doesn't burn any measurable oil

I was considering a typical 35w 5500k kit from DDM with a relay harness to make it easy. I've had my DDM kit on my CBR600rr for about 8 years now with no issues. DDM is local so easy for me to get to.

Also, just got my car back today from ASC with my Katzkin leather. MAN! I am so stoked about it. Turned out great. No cloth left and as an added bonus both my front seats now have seat back pockets! The factory seats didnt have those.

Placed order for material Thursday night. Material was made on Monday. Arrived Tuesday morning. Dropped off car at lunch Tuesday. Got the call at 230pm Wednesday that it was done. Talk about fast turn around.

Thanks guys. Super happy with the result. Much better than the beige haha. Its very similar to the OEM leather option, except its NOT perforated like OEM. I didnt want perforated due to dirt getting in perforations and it was extra $$$ too lol.

You're more thorough with tire PSI than I am. I dont think my tpms sensors EVER went off in the 2 years of ownership of my GE. Granted I made sure they were around 35ish or whatever the door said every few weeks. There was a period where I didnt check for like 3 months though and nothing.

yah that's a nice choice on the leather!!

i'm not super picky on psi but i can feel the car getting softer when it loose psi and i like to be on the higher end vs lower. tpms trigger is like 28psi on most cars which is much too low on low profile tires. in at 40psi cold on the 235/35/19's on the GTI and R which is the recommended psi. well, the R is 38-39 but 40 is about right on this car.

STI i run 34/33 which is factory psi.

I think I've got 32 in the AP1 and who even knows about the GE.

Last I checked it was around 37, but that was on a much warmer day.

I should check that.

alright, cleaned up the GTI's inner glass. i hate doing it, im glad i did it.

at least i can reach the bottom of the windshield unlike the GK.. on the GK i have to use that window wizard BS..
i have 2 of these.. one MF bonnet for wet, one for drying.

lol yah, ask me tomorrow.

yah, they call it the MK7.5's. i like the new GTI's styling but i prefer my R's styling over the new. also i like real analog gauges so im happy i got my R before the change.

i still like the new tiguan-r over the mk7.5's..
