on the menu today.. motoring my R if weather holds and then going to swap the front wiper blades on the GTI. then doing some house chores, help wife with furniture project, relax.

hahaha! yah, its turning out real nice but it's a pretty decent sized project so its going to take another week or so before she can finish completely.

 

motored the R this am, had a great drive. the DWS06's are now nicely broken in. with the 4motion the car compensates for the tad less grip at the limit while it manages a very controllable and fun ride through quick turns. a tad less responsive vs the summer conti tires but that's not always a bad thing for street.

im looking forward to driving through the colder months with this setup.

got home, did a waterless spot wash on the side panels and rear (drove through some damp roads), and then QD'ed the entire car afterwards. looks great again.

 

Nice! What is this furniture project? Seems like a ton of stuff.

 

yah, for the loft it is a wall of shelving and computer desk, slide out bed, and workshop table. one side is her work area, the other side is her crafts workshop.

for the master bedroom it is 3 walls of wardrobe and new shelves for the walk in closet.

this am i put the new compact 12v makita right angle drill to use by drilling 1.5" holes under the shelves to route new wiring for her computers and other office equipment. it was really tight, but doable thanks to its small profile.

 

Sounds like quite the intense project...

 

yah, once we get this situated, im going to work on expanding my basement RC track next.

 

Man rc basement track sounds fun. Miss my sc10 and rc10b4 for racing. Racing sure got expensive though lol.

What waterless wash do you use? I'm using this one from amazon from Aero Cosmetics. Works well. In fact washed and waxed the Civic and Miata today. Found my first rock chip on the bumper. Give me motivation to get quotes for this PPF already...lol.

Did some yard work (trimmed the pomegranate tree and harvested fruit) and removed some weeds in the yard.

My most recent "home improvement" project was configuring a smart deadbolt-someone else installed it, but at least I have the chops to configure it LOL.

 

shinjari- i use Griot's SprayOn carwash. i use to race when i lived in socal about 2 decades ago, had a great time.

fitness- hey ure doing the difficult part!

 

Thanks ken, my better half is always saying how I can't change a roll of toilet paper without his help LOL.

 

hahaha! my wife does all the difficult parts too.. im not real good with computers..especially windows.

 

LOL I'm the IT guy in our house. We're a mixed Mac and PC family but he and I both have Macs. He might also have a pee cee stashed away somewhere, possibly for gaming. But the day-to-day stuff is Mac-2-tha-Max!

 

nice! i've been a mac user since the Apple 2c days.
i still have a classic 2 and a Nubus powermac in storage..even a blue imac lol

i luvs my MBP's!! such solid performers.

I love my MBP too. It's fast , reliable and awesome! Kind of like my Fit, but fast! vroom!

Back to PPF...got a brand preference? Seems that a full 3m front end kit can be had for under $300. But xpel is nearly $600 simply for the bumper!

Calling a dozen places today for quotes.

Starting to think it may be worth while trying to do it myself. Figure its precut already. Just need a good squeegee, heat gun, water (solution?), gloves to prevent finger prints?

 

fitness- mine is the indigo blue. yah, i've never had any problems on my MBP's. they are fantastic machines!!

shinjari- considering clearbra is a wear item, just get the 3m one. you can buy precuts for cheap from invisible mask dot com. they include install kit too i think with squeegee knife, spray bottles etc.
