wheels are now in the garage. did a quick tires101 for him.

hopefully by tomorrow evening the STI will be running the factory mesh enkei's. they look so good on the car.
my STI and R have one of the best looking factory wheels.

ohhhhhhh so tired as hell but got home, did a few house chores, and swapped the STI wheels to factory. even decided to wash the winter set cause temp was 34F... barely not freezing but the driveway started to freeze when the sun went down. my kid helped me so it went kinda quick.

going to motor my R tomorrow but will pull out my STI on sunday. temps are a bit too low for summer tires tomorrow but the conti's stick pretty well in colder weather so will go with that. plus i want to break in the rear right tire..

sprinkled just enough salt on the driveway so my wife dont fall when she gets out of the GK with our supper.. dogs and chili.

faking GK with its pos tpms.. keeps coming on after putting the factory wheels on the car and the tires are NOT leaking air.

We keep getting false low reading from our Golf as well. I don't like these monitors that aren't actually monitors. Our Fit and my Fords have never mislead us with the actual monitors inside the wheels.

We have had to reset the Golf 3 times now. Once was on the side of the Interstate after checking all 4 tires for a general default message telling us a default low pressure warning.

I'm not happy at all with these "modern" systems. Ford and GM still use the federally mandated systems with actual sensors and aren't trying to cheat the system.

My mom's Impala would set off false TPMS alarms weekly, warm or cold, sunny or cloudy, dry or rain, etc.

My Fit hasn't given me any false alarms (knock on coffee table)

My Friday night is going to be spent listening to this (but on my CD, rather than the youtube link):

alright on the menu today.. pulling out my R for a nice relaxing drive, followed by a nice QD session, then washing my filthy GTI, taking down the STI winter set down to the basement storage.. then just relaxing the rest of day.

have a good saturday everyone! don’t forget to spring forward tonight.

dogdamn.. lots of useless salt they put down on the ground. motored my R and had a great time, but decided not to QD after the drive and will take her out again tomorrow am followed by a car wash. no sense driving my STI in so much salt.

started the day rechecking the GK's tire pressure and reset the TPMS. also got some gas cause my wife was getting ready to head out to a meeting this morning. just accumulating browny points.

washed my GTI and now doing some laundry and will be taking it out to run a quick errand before lunch. i peeked under the GTI and yah, wat a mess... so much salt and grime and shit caked all over. cant wait to give it the nice undercarriage wash come spring.

Sup everyone. Geez thats one dirty GK!

Its been raining all day, but I took it as a chance to continue my schematics for the backyard layout. Went to home depot to pick up some supplies to start building the frames for the concrete design we are going to do for the firepit area. ALso went to harbor freight to pick up a 48" level, corner bracket clamp and some moving blankets to protect the civic interior from lumber.

Was surprised I was able to get several 2"x 4"x 10ft and 2" x 4" x 8ft lumber in the Civic. I was able to do so in the GE, but that was because the seats would fold pretty flat. I was concerned with the not so flat folded down seats it'd be an issue...it wasn't. Sure I can't load as many as I used to...but a few trips is better than not being able to at all. Anything longer than 10ft will be an issue though and will have to borrow the truck from my dad....maybe I should trade the miata for a small pickup haha.

Hope you guys are having a good weekend. Besides the schematics just played some games, just beat shadow warrior 2 and started Cuphead.

OH Yeah! remember my frustration with getting GPUs? Well Nvidia got some back in stock, I was on the 'notify me list'. I got the email at 717am on thursday. I immediately went to the site, added 2 of every card I could afford (10 cards)...and ended up with (8) cards. Two 1080, 1070ti, 1070, and 1060. I missed out on the 1080ti (clearly only had 2 in stock lol) which is what I really wanted. But I should be able to sell 7 of the 8 cards and make enough profit to keep one 1080 for myself =).

I had a TPMS issue when I had to get one of my Civic wheels repaired. Turned out it was user error. I thought it was like the GE and the TPMS would go away over time. Turns out....the civic has a 'clear tpms' button LOL. Only took me 200 miles to notice.

Sorry for the novel lol.

THIS GUY. GK. THIS FLIPPING GUY.

Would not put lumber in any of my cars.

That would mean I'm using lumber for something

I guess I technically put lumber in both cars when I move my driveway ramps around.
