It is home!

(I also test fit the one wheel I bought over winter. If any of y'all know of any low disk 17x9 +43 CP035 in 5x114.3, let me know )

GAFIT- yah, that's a hard decision when a dealer has something exactly the way you want the car at a good deal!

looking good mike!

da hell did subaru do to the 18 STI's? the reported acceleration times are so much slower than my 2016 which does 0-60 in under 4.7sec in stock form. people are reporting 5.2sec and slower.. 14.1 trap time vs low 13's for my '16. lol and the handling numbers are worse than before.

those 19's they started using this year are probably boat anchors and they changed the ECU map, messed with the awd system, maybe gearing too. dafaq mang.. i mean, good for me, but not good for the new buyers. lol

I would buy a regular WRX way over an STI at this point. The WRX is a tune away from being faster than a stock STI.

the review seems to state that the 18 STI has shorter gearing so they have to shift into 3rd in order to get to 60mph which was always the issue on the regular WRX for its 0-60 time.. on my 2016 STI, no need to shift into 3rd to get to 60mph.

i can understand if they messed with the 18's gearing to get a better trap time, but it's nearly a second slower vs a stock 2016.. wtf x2

okay i can possibly understand if the 18 STI is getting higher g's and better times through the slalom than a 2016.. not the case either. wtf x3

i dont get it. so the only improvement is the bigger brakes? and its not like my STI's brembos were that weak or lacking to start with. its got plenty of braking power at 60-0 108ft.. which is one foot shorter than the 18's 109ft.. wtf x4

im super glad i bought the STI in 2016 while it was still good. you just cant get the nostalgic feel on the regular WRX because the regular WRX use electronic steering and the new DI engines... plus the drivetrain is different. if you want the raw old-school sport compact sports car, one has to get the STI.

but given that the 18's are SLOWER than my 16, if i was to get a WRX today, id forget all the nostalgic stuff and get the FocusRS while keeping my Golf-R.

Whoa lot going on this weekend for you guys. Was out in the desert camping with some friends....offroading, hiking, drinking, shooting...was a great time. Borrowed my dads Chevy Trailblazer and it was decent. Going out there made me miss my Frontier and motivates me to swap the miata for a pickup/suv of some sort.

Besides that the GF and I went to a Peruvian place last night and it was delicious.
Saw a Blue CTR driving around and said "ooooh thats what I want...but in white." GF goes "mmmmm that rear spoiler is F-ing ugly...I like your model better".

Then I parked next to a Datsun 510. Was a work in progress but still cool nonetheless.

Glad to see the s2k is out of storage. Will keep an eye out for fancy Racing Harts.

Drove the civic to work today and it is such a joy to drive. Always puts a smile on my face.

Ouch. Our review basically goes like this...
"Hello Employee"
"Hello Boss"
"You've done good this year, blah blah blah" *slides a paper* "this is what will be into effect on your next paycheck...any questions/concerns?"
"Yes...explain concerns"
"Ok we'll look into it, bye"
2 weeks later, theres a finite increase in my paycheck lol.

only mods id do is removing the snow grate in the intake, drop ins, JB1 or JB4, and maybe a turbo diverter valve down the road and 10mm rear spacers.

0-60 3.4sec, low 12 sec quarter mile since DSG.

Love that gray color. Would definitely be my pick. For me it would just need tint and power. Lots of power!
