Happy Monday guys.

Yeah kenchan - wettish weekend here too....cars look horrible. They were due for a wash, but the light rain just made them look even worse. With more light rain scheduled I didn't wash them but hate when they look this dirty.

Got some concrete quotes which led me to expand the area I want to get concrete since the amount of concrete didn't really affect the price too much. So back breaking work most the weekend, digging 5-6" down and wheelbarrow it away. Bought lumber, built the frames and started to put them in place. About another 70 square feet total added. So now I'm at roughly 250 sq feet of fire pit area/pathway vs the original 180.

Haven't been to Chicago in ages. I wanna go back. Just so many other places to visit on my list.

Happy Tuesday.

What are everyones plans for the holiday weekend?

Hopefully some beach time, wash cars and finish adjustments in backyard for me. Then relax. Get some gaming in...maybe a full detail on a car or two.

yah confirmed the raise. well worth the hard work i put in. the bonus is still coming through the system so don’t know the amount.

last yr this week i bought my Golf-R. think this yr i’m going to do something different and buy a Golf-R. lol jk probably will just settle on bicycle #3 and keep driving my GTI. while the car is not perfect it’s a great dd. all i need to do is let off the throttle and save $43K. lol

Heading off to do the last checkout of the car tour that is happening Saturday. The sun is out & the rain clouds have moved away. Time to hit those back roads.

Have a good day folks.

not a good start to my day today.. as soon as i got to the parking structure gate at the office, BANG! hit my door frame. yah i’m a faking idiot. wat i did was opened the door to swipe my keycard for the gate to prevent smears on the driver side glass cause i washed the car yesterday.. but i didn’t see the thin visor at the top of the gate booth and hit my door on it. lol. got a 4mm scratch on the edge of the B pillar. fak time to sell my car. it is completely ruined!!

then i drove to my parking spot to inspect the damage, which was really nothing, only for the B pillar to be hit again but this time by bird crap. i’m like double wtf. anyway, i had my BCE (bird crap emergency) set in the trunk so used it to wipe off the crap.. only to find the sprayer broke. lol triple wtf.

anyway the car is clean for now. i didn’t get hit by bird crap so i am good. but i don’t need all dis drama mang.

Thinking about doing a full detail this weekend. What do you guys use to strip old wax?

I was eyeing Griots Paint Prep since I'm trying to stick to waterless/spray style washing.

Also considering a sealant.

So I need a wax stripper and sealant. Have clay, polish and wax.

Currently plan is:

Wash Car/strip old wax
Clay as needed
Meguiars Ultimate Polish as needed
Optimum Sealant OR Chemical Guys Extreme Wax and Sealant (leaning towards CG)
Meguiars Ultimate Liquid wax for that extra.

Yeah the Dawn wash seems to be the go-to easy way.

That involves a hose/excessive water unfortunately which I'm trying to avoid.

Think I'm gonna try this Griots Wax Stripper spray.
