nice picts, shinjari. you and GF are looking good too! oooo~ brompton!
thanks for sharing.

alright got the errand done.. been seeing a couple of model3's lately and this guy in front of me punched it going into an empty expressway entrance so followed him up to speed limit. not bad, my GTI was a tad faster, but a respectable acceleration for the mini tesla. id say about as fast as a stock S3.

alright got home, cleaned the GTI's interior and dressed the tires. will wash the car on saturday after i visit my hairstylist. planning to do a quick clay app on the gate and roof, and spot polish the car and seal it with HydroMax. given that the weather is nice. not pulling out my spotless STI/R in the rain just to polish my GTI. gtfo

oh yah, got to work and ended up finding a great spot to park at the parking structure next door which also took my gate key. wooot. next time going to park dere wen i need to come in late to work. so awesome mang..

Various Pictures from around San Francisco. Love that my LG V20 has a manual mode as well as a zoom AND wide angle lens.

The Pyramid/Trans Atlantic building from the Embarcadero

Golden Gate from our walk to Coit Tower

Pictures while up in Coit Tower (200+ feet tall and 250+ Sea level so like 500ft+ over sea level)

Forget the name of this Church

SF Ferry Building at night (really wish I didn't get those light flares like that...what can ya do...its a camera on a phone, dont think they make polarizers for them haha)

2 more pics from Muir Woods

Cool corner building in Italian district.

Cool Graffiti and Porsche. Camera either wanted to get the art correct OR the multicolored car correct...not both lol.

Painted Ladies - AKA buildings in Full House show intro. Super cool architecture in this district.

Pic of the Golden Gate while we were hiking in Berkeley. Had fog over it and my zoom can only do so much haha.

So
Happy
Its
Thursday

Have a good one guys

Was looking at getting some shifter upgrades for the Civic. What are your guys thoughts?

Basically to tighten up shifting. Acuity rocker upgrade, centering spring and shift base bushings. Get rid of that sloppy feeling. Just not sure I can justify the $140 for it at the moment. These are the upgrades that you can do to the shifter portion. Figure better to do all (3) so I'm not having to take apart the center console multiple times.

I'd do the shift linkage bushings at a later time since that is in the engine bay.

I think that, since it's cheaper and doesn't require removing the center console, I'd do the linkage bushings first.

Maybe get lucky and be satisfied with just those. A friend did that one mod to his GTI and is happy with the results.

With our Fit and my Mustang I replaced the entire assembly. Fit has a Mugen shifter. Mustang has a Steeda tri-ax.

Anyone make a complete replacement for your Civic?

Acuity is working on a replacement but I'm not holding my breath.

I had the Mugen + skunk 2 short shifters in the GE8 and that was a nice change from stock.

I saw the bushings and plan to do those eventually. Just dont think that'll tighten things up on the shift knob end of things. Lot of slop due to plastic rocker, super soft compliant base bushings and spring.

Well since I found the Rocker on sale at Kseriesparts for $85 vs the $120 everywhere else I decided to at least order that. The spring and bushings are MSRP everywhere and even available via Prime. So figured I'd take advantage of the sale and just wait to order the spring/bushings in the near future.

Ahh...yeah, the bushings won't help much if there's slop in the shifter itself.

A nice shifter, steering wheel, and seats are the start to a great car. I think you have two of three, so I can appreciate wanting to address any shifter slop.

Let us know how that turns out. It will be nice to have a tight feeling shifter. I love the one in my Miata it is like a bolt action rifle. Oh & that is the oem setup.

Have a good Thursday folks.

I especially like the pic of the old Targa with ruf knock off wheels and mismatched body panels. Looks perfect in that setting.

Someday I hope to own a 911. I should have bought one when they were available as cheap used cars.

GAFIT I am in complete agreement with that. They are going for a premium nowadays. And the mismatched panels are awesome.

Brown/copper Front bumper. Yellow bonnet and rear cover.

The rear cover...is that still considered the trunk? Or engine cover? Is the front still considered a 'hood' when it is the cargo area?
