Wow this is like the longest intro thread ever!
Looks really good though Ken. I like all the updates you made every time you got something new, very cool. Glad your enjoying the Fit. Considering you have two other Performance/Luxury type cars it really says alot about the Fit how you can love it so much coming from cars well above it.

hey, thanks TOOL. yah, almost starting to look like my FitS blog. lol

that's right, i have other cars that im using as benchmarks... especially
my cooper-s for handling and driver feel.

Honda did everything right in the areas where car enthusiasts
would be most critical on....like steering gear ratio, steering wheel
diameter and thickness, gearbox feel, gear ratio and mid-range torque,
engine responsiveness, clutch pedal weight/enagement point, pedal to
pedal distance, seating support, seating height, visibility, location of
controls, turnsignal stalk feel, etc. even the stereo sounds pretty
good to make any rush hour commute more enjoyable.

ownership experience has been great too. very reliable car and my
dealer is very flexible and friendly.

more to come...

got that CARMATE ashtray cup thingie yesterday. the black part is
made out of wat appears like glass reinforced carbon. it had the little
ledge inside for putting out cigaretts so took a screw driver and a
mallet and broke that ledge off. (make sure you dont stare at it
when you break it off cause little bits came flying out and could get
into your eye.)

now a nice trashcup for candy wrappers. no rattling in the
FitS's cupholder. i likes. they use real aluminum so quality is
very nice.

cutting it for me. not sure which ones yet, but will keep the 195/50/15
size.

Coilovers? Which ones you going for? I thought about getting into the skunk2 sale thingy that they had a couple weeks ago but its hard to swallow spending a grand on them. I cant remember what springs are you on now? Good luck with them and of course keep us in the loop with what you decide on.

this is the new ones from EnduraTech. just picked up yesterday.
they are super high quality from Japan. craftsmanship is top notch.
can't wait to install them Sun morning. EnduraTech will have more
coming in early April. will post reviews of the install and ride in the
suspension forum.

will definitely take more picts during the install and after. im going to
setup the height to where my DF210's are riding now so that i can
better describe the overall ride improvement.

then later on this month try the progress swaybar if the setup calls
out for it.

Sweet! Yes, i highly recommend the Progress bar. Makes a really big diffrence as far as understeer even when you are lowered. Me and my friend who also owns a Fit went driving on a mountain road last week. He is lowered on Eibach springs with out a sway bar, im on Progress springs with the bar and his car had FAR more understeer in the sharp hairpin corners, while my Fit even with stock tires stuck pretty good through out the corner.
Just an example at how much of a diffrence it makes!

yep, indeed!

well i have the progress bar on my car right now with the DF210's,
but considering the endura-tech is linear rate it *should* be able to
better resist initial bodyroll...which was the reason why i got the
progress bar.

check out my review of the EnduraTech coilovers over in the suspension
forum under EnduraTech coilovers.

nutshell: car height appears like DF210's but drives 10x better.

will be working on the car over the weekend to first remove the
Progress bar to see how the car handles with just the EnduraTech's.

then going to play with the c/o's height a little more to perfect.

i removed the progress bar and as expected, the car feels more natural.
it does roll a little more, but it's a dynamic feel and it feels good. car is
still neutral biased through the turns.

therefore, the bar is on sale.

here's a quick pict i took today. i luv how the way the EnduraTech coilovers feel. very buttery smooooth
ride. this height is slightly lower than DF210's.

Looks pimp Ken! I could use a little more drop now that I have the 195/50's but I'm not messing with it for a while.
