I'm not the typical FitFreak

I'm not the typical FitFreak. I say this because I don't look at it as a performance car waiting to be discovered, I don't view it as a generational symbol or a cultural statement, nor do I think of it as the one and only perfect vehicle to drive.

I see the Honda Fit as a vehicle that took long enough to be built, what with the driver seat position, manually shiftable automatic, minimal blindspots and a vehicle that makes driving fun yet also open to utilitarian tasks.

I see the Fit as a car that surprises me with a small engine mated to an automatic transaxle yet it does not remind me of the four cylinder autos I have driven before, those that seemed like a car body built around a hamster wheel powered by out of shape rodents who have high pitched voices.

I test drove both manual and automatic transaxle models and both surprised me with high torque at idle and the ability to move to road speed without the need to give full throttle just to get them moving.

I drive a 2000 Ford F-150 and this car gives me reasons to like a passenger car again. It has room, easy to configure cargo area and makes driving a car enjoyable again. It is one of the most useful vehicles I have driven and the practical powertrain and technology features are as enjoyable as the visual appeal.

I see this car as something that would work just as well in rural area as it would in a city.

The Fit seems like a car that fits what I need for practical reasons while not compromising too much in other areas.

I think how I view the Fit would tell someone about myself, thus why I am posting this as I am.
