2010 Fit Radio

Please read entirety before commenting. Thanks!

Changed battery - got Radio Code from dealer - put in code - said "code error" - confirmed code w/dealer (3 times!), also confirmed code online. Followed a couple of pieces of advice from this forum. FINALLY got radio to come on - w/in 2 minutes it goes off - can only restart if car turned off, then on. Again, radio on for 2 minutes then goes off. At my wits end! Do I need to pull out radio to verify serial # is correct? This is so frustrating and a huge pain!!

Thanks for advice!!

OP is about 2 years old...thought I would try here anyway.
Found radio code in glovebox. Tried to enter it...no luck. First problem is my code contains 2 zero's. Where is the zero button on my radio (2010 Base MT)?? I have 1-6, but no zero.
The owners manual gives no details about the whole process.

You may have found a serial number instead of the unlock code.
Unlock code is 5 digits.

Yes, you are right...Thank you!
The prev owner had put the 6 digit number on the owners manual. I thought it was for the radio...maybe a key code?
Looked and found the correct one on the side of the glovebox.
Radio works good now.
